DPD France and Axians ICT Austria have enjoyed a proven partnership since 1994. At that time, DPD France started out as a new French parcel service for the B2B sector. Based on the pay per parcel principle, Axians ICT Austria introduced the logistics software system cargoNET at DPD France. As a result, DPD France did not have to make any high initial investments, but instead pays the costs for the software and support for the entire IT landscape depending on the transport volume – at fixed and guaranteed costs per item. // IT AT A FIXED PRICE // The overall project included the installation of the hardware components for the client and server environments (approx. 800 PC clients), the construction of the entire WLAN infrastructure, training, installation and the commissioning of cargoNET all DPD France locations. // DIRECT CUSTOMER CONNECTION // The Customer Automation System (CAS) station is installed at over 7,200 end customers in France for optimal supply chain management right through to the customer. On average, three additional customer systems are put into operation every day. // STRATEGIC FURTHER DEVELOPMENT // cargoNET is continuously being developed for DPD France. In addition to technological innovations, Axians ICT Austria focuses on optimizing business processes, taking into account current trends in the field of parcel logistics.
